Nissan has just announced the official pricing for the 2026 Plug-In Hybrid SUV version of the Rogue (also known as the X-Trail in other markets).
Nissan has just announced the official pricing for the 2026 Plug-In Hybrid version of the Rogue (also known as the X-Trail in other markets), starting at $45,990, which is $16,900 higher than the standard version.
Despite being called Rogue, this model is actually a rebranded version of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV – a familiar plug-in hybrid crossover on the market. The significant price difference has raised questions, as the 2025 Outlander PHEV starts at just $40,445 (excluding a $1,745 shipping fee), noticeably cheaper than the Nissan version.
However, Nissan only offers two top-of-the-line versions, while Mitsubishi provides up to five configuration options. The standard Rogue Plug-In Hybrid SL comes equipped with notable features such as automatic wipers, a motion-sensing tailgate, 20-inch black painted wheels, and black gloss rearview mirrors with integrated illuminated turn signals.
The 7-seater interior boasts a modern style with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, synthetic leather seats, and an 8-way power-adjustable heated driver's seat. At the center of the dashboard is a 12.3-inch digital display along with a 9-inch infotainment system supporting wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay. The vehicle is also equipped with dual-zone automatic climate control and wireless smartphone charging.
In terms of safety and driver assistance, Nissan equips the Rogue PHEV with a range of advanced technologies such as the ProPILOT Assist semi-autonomous driving assistance system, intelligent adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera with motion detection.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alert. Furthermore, it includes advanced features such as lane change assist, automatic braking when reversing, and traffic sign recognition.
The more premium version is the Rogue Plug-In Hybrid Platinum, priced from $49,990. This version is upgraded with a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and smart rearview mirrors with memory function and automatic tilting when reversing.
Inside the cockpit, users will experience genuine leather seats, power-adjustable passenger seat, heated steering wheel and rear seats, seat position memory system, a premium 9-speaker Bose sound system, anti-glare rearview mirror, and 3-zone automatic climate control. The interior is further enhanced with luxurious LED ambient lighting.
All versions of the Rogue PHEV utilize an out-of-charge hybrid system consisting of a 2.4L four-cylinder engine, combined with two electric motors and a 20 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This powertrain delivers a combined output of 248 horsepower and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque, coupled with all-wheel drive (AWD).
The new 2026 Nissan Rogue PHEV SUV has a range of approximately 38 miles (61 km) on pure electric power, making it well-suited for everyday urban commuting without the need for gasoline.
