Battery warranties typically cover eight years or 100,000 miles, though exact terms vary by manufacturer and region. Resale values for standard hybrids remain exceptionally strong due to their simplicity, while used PHEV buyers look closely at battery health and charging capabilities.

The smartest investment is personal: select a plug-in hybrid if you can charge effortlessly and maximize electric driving, or opt for a standard hybrid for dependable, hands-off efficiency every day.
